Inshots, selected as supplier for '2025 AI Voucher Support Project'

AI-based video content solution startup Inshots (CEO Lee Geon-chang) announced on the 25th that it was finally selected as a supplier for the '2025 AI Voucher Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

The AI Voucher Support Project is a government project that provides support in the form of vouchers to enable small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners to adopt AI technology in a short period of time. Through this project, Inshots plans to supply the AI video upscaling solution, 'AI Superscaler', to companies in demand.

As the first application case of this business, Inshots will collaborate with animation production company Ocon (CEO Kim Il-ho, Woo Ji-hee) to apply AI-based 4K upscaling technology to the entire TV animation series 'Gift Dragon Dibo' produced in 2006. The goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of IP and increase the reusability of content by converting original content produced in SD resolution to high resolution.

Ocon plans to pursue various additional businesses such as global distribution and licensing using the repackaged high-definition content in the future. The company has previously distributed 'Gift Dinosaur Divo' to over 80 countries.

Woo Ji-hee, Co-CEO of Ocon, said, “Gift Dragon Devo is Ocon’s representative global project, and we expect that this 4K remastering will provide an even more enhanced viewing experience.”
