Sage Safety selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Technology Development Product Pilot Purchase System'

Sage (Co-CEOs Jong-Woo Park and Young-Seok Hong), an industry-specialized AI machine vision company, announced that its flagship product, Sage Safety, was selected for the ‘Technology Development Product Pilot Purchase System’ hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. With this selection, Sage Safety has started a pilot purchase application service targeting approximately 550 public institutions nationwide, taking a step closer to expanding industrial safety management in the public sector.

The technology development product pilot purchase system is a system designed to support the initial sales of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises' technology products. It encourages public institutions to purchase the products first, and provides various follow-up support such as product promotion, purchase linkage, and marketing. In particular, the purchase performance of selected products is reflected in the management evaluation of public institutions, so there is a high possibility of actual purchase.

In this evaluation, the technology's differentiation, marketability, demand potential, the company's commercialization capabilities, and quality management system were comprehensively reviewed. Sage Safety passed this multifaceted evaluation and was finally selected.

Sage Safety is an AI-based intelligent CCTV solution that analyzes and warns of risk factors in various industrial sites such as construction sites and manufacturing sites in real time. It can detect not only worker safety conditions such as not wearing safety helmets, trespassing into dangerous areas, and access to heavy equipment, but also risk factors in industrial sites such as fire and smoke. Based on compatibility with existing CCTVs, it automatically detects various safety blind spots and immediately sends a notification to the manager when a dangerous situation occurs. It also provides a function that can control multiple CCTVs in an integrated manner to support efficient safety management.

Sage Kim Seung-hyun, the head of the Sage Safety headquarters, said, “This selection for the pilot purchasing system is an important opportunity for Sage Safety to fully advance into the public sector,” and added, “We will present a new standard for industrial safety management using AI technology and contribute to creating a safer work environment.”

Meanwhile, the selected products will be introduced to public institutions nationwide through future events such as purchasing consultations and exhibitions hosted by the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, and actual purchase contracts will be made based on each institution's autonomous judgment and budget.
