Asan Nanum Foundation (Chairman Eom Yun-mi) announced on the 21st that it published the '2024 Asan Nanum Foundation Annual Report', which summarizes the results of projects and programs carried out last year to spread the entrepreneurial spirit.
Asan Nanum Foundation also introduced a digital annual report that applied interactive functions for the first time this year. It was composed to allow a more three-dimensional view of the foundation’s activities by inserting various visual materials such as videos, images, and graphics, as well as links to detailed pages related to major programs and official blog content. It can be viewed on the Asan Nanum Foundation official website, and the paper-type (PDF) annual report can also be viewed.
This annual report shares activities and achievements by business, including ▲Entrepreneurship Platform MARU, ▲Entrepreneurship Education, ▲Support for Youth Startups, ▲Support for Social Innovation, and ▲Establishment of an Innovation Ecosystem. The 2024 Highlights introduces external PR activities that communicated closely with the public and promoted entrepreneurship last year, news of winning the Korea Communication Awards, plans to promote the Silicon Valley base 'MARU SF', and examples of carbon reduction and eco-friendly practices within MARU.
In addition, in the 'Transparent Management' section, the status of business expenses, financial statements, and operating performance statements were included to transparently disclose information as a public interest corporation. Asan Nanum Foundation received a full score of 3 stars in the 2024 public interest corporation evaluation announced by 'Korea Guide Star', a domestic public interest corporation evaluation agency, and achieved Star Public Interest Corporation certification for 5 consecutive years.
In addition, the 'Preview 2025 Asan Nanum Foundation' shared the foundation's management goals and business direction for this year, centered on 'Frontier Entrepreneurship'. The report included major plans to establish a foundation for sustainable growth in the startup ecosystem, such as expanding support for global expansion, DEI initiatives based on diversity and inclusion, strengthening response to the climate crisis, and reorganizing the Chung Ju-yung Startup Competition.
In his annual report speech, Honorary Chairman Chung Mong-joon of the Asan Nanum Foundation said, “The ‘frontier entrepreneurship’ of Hyundai founder Chung Ju-yung, who pioneered a path no one else had taken and made the impossible possible, will serve as an example for young people who are challenging themselves on the global stage beyond Korea.” He added, “The Asan Nanum Foundation will continue to create a solid foundation for young people to boldly take on new challenges and fully realize their potential.”
