Hwahae Global Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Woong, Kim Kyung-il), which operates the beauty platform Hwahae, held the '2025 First Half Hwahae Awards' and announced the winners of five awards, including 'Best New Product' and 'Efficacy/Effectiveness', on the 21st. The awards this time include the Next Beauty/Rising Trend Award, which highlights rookie brands.
The 'Hwahae Awards' is a representative K-beauty awards ceremony that selects excellent products every half year based on over 380,000 products and approximately 9.3 million reviews and ratings. This first half of the Hwahae Awards was based on reviews collected from November last year to April this year, and awards were given in five categories: ▲Best New Product ▲Efficacy/Effectiveness ▲Vegan ▲Next Beauty ▲Rising Trend. A total of 616 products were honored with awards.
In the 'Best New Product Awards', 46 products including Anua's 'PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisture Cream' and Mediheal's 'Hyper Mask (Collagen)', which are suitable for hydration, took first place, as the glow skin trend that emphasizes moist and smooth skin expression has recently spread.
In the 'Efficacy and Effect Awards', 128 products were nominated for being effective in treating various skin concerns that increase with the changing seasons, such as improving skin texture, skin troubles, and anti-aging. In the 'Vegan Awards' that followed, 11 domestic and international vegan-certified products that exclude animal testing or animal-derived ingredients, including Dalba's 'Vita Toning Serum Toner', were awarded.
Hwahae has established two awards this year to highlight products that have received favorable reviews from consumers for their excellent efficacy and effectiveness among new brands registered within the past five years. The 'Next Beauty Award', which selects the most popular products, has 46 products including Bigrin's 'Alcohol-Free Mucin Essence Toner', and the 'Rising Trend Award', which introduces products that have quickly gained attention in a short period of time, has 30 products including Mild Lab's 'Deep Melacare Ampoule'.
The award-winning products can be viewed on the Hwahae mobile app, website, and global website, and the award-winning brands can use the ‘Hwahae emblem’ on product packaging, online detail pages, marketing content, etc.
Kim Kyung-il, CEO of Hwahae Global, said, “At this awards ceremony, we introduced excellent products in various categories, including new products with outstanding efficacy and effectiveness, based on Hwahae’s differentiated data capabilities.” He added, “We will continue to discover brands with potential and further strengthen our role as a K-beauty acceleration platform so that new star products can emerge in the K-beauty market.”
Meanwhile, the products that won the 2025 first half Reconciliation Award will be exhibited with the Reconciliation emblem at the '39th Seoul International Cosmetics & Beauty Industry Expo (COSMOBEAUTY SEOUL 2025)' held at COEX from the 28th to the 30th, and can be seen with various benefits through the 'Award Planning Exhibition' to be held early next month.
