DK Tech Inc. (CEO Won-Joo Lee), a subsidiary of Kakao IT Solutions Development, announced on the 20th that it had been selected as the main contractor for the Military Manpower Administration's 'Military Administration Digital Platform Construction Project' worth approximately 17.1 billion won.

Accordingly, DK Tech held a commencement report meeting at the Military Manpower Administration Daejeon Government Complex on the 19th, where around 60 key officials, including Commissioner of the Military Manpower Administration Kim Jong-cheol and CEO Lee Won-joo, attended and discussed the direction of digital transformation for defense innovation and business promotion plans.

The 'Military Service Administration Digital Platform Construction Project' is a project to build a platform that can carry out military service administration work in one place by making the aging military service administration system intelligent and automated. Civil servants belonging to the Military Manpower Administration will be able to improve their work efficiency, and those with military service obligations will be able to use various mobile-based convenient services.

To this end, DK Tech will focus on promoting business by incorporating cutting-edge IT technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data, including ▲transferring information systems to the cloud, ▲standardizing and integrating military data, and ▲implementing mobile-based, citizen-oriented convenience services.

In particular, through the national convenience service, those with military service obligations can use convenient services such as ▲'enlistment application recommendation', which recommends the best option based on preferred enlistment period and conditions, ▲'integrated notification', which provides personalized military service performance information, and ▲a paperless civil service office.

In addition, a data backup and recovery system will be established to prepare for wartime and disaster situations, such as securing the continuity of military administration and a stable database (DB) operation base even in wartime situations through 'information system remote duplication' to help with rapid wartime response in the event of a national security crisis.

Lee Won-joo, CEO of DK Tech, said, “Through standardization of military service data, it will be possible to implement AI services that improve administrative work efficiency by integrating and linking scattered data,” and “We will contribute to the next-generation military administration innovation based on our capabilities accumulated while promoting digital transformation projects in various fields such as public, finance, and mobility.”
