-LAM advancement to accelerate agentic AI development… Aiming to establish itself as essential digital infrastructure for business people

Hyeum (CEO Ok Hyeong-seok), a financial and tax AI agent operating company, announced on the 20th that it has officially launched 'Alfred', an AI agent for corporate business operators such as small business owners and startups.

Hyeum has integrated Alfred, an AI agent chatbot function, into its existing management support report service, Hyeum Report, to enhance user convenience. Hyeum Report is a solution that allows businesses to comprehensively manage accounting and tax work, such as sales and purchase status, tax payment, and tax invoice issuance, and visually provide indicators necessary for decision-making.

Alfred is an AI agent specializing in finance and taxation. When a user types a question related to finance or taxation into the chat window, Alfred understands the intent and context and either directly carries out the request or immediately answers based on the learned internal expert database (DB).

Alfred's core functions include ▲24-hour Q&A on finance, tax, and labor ▲Issuance of various tax and business-related documents ▲Linking with tax payments and various tax reports ▲Refund recommendations that match business conditions, etc. Users can go from reporting to execution all at once with just a simple chat.

In particular, Hyeum applied RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) technology to improve the accuracy of Alfred's information, and trained the AI with 22 million natural language data acquired through expert consulting services provided through KakaoTalk Messenger since its establishment in 2017.

Starting with the launch of Alfred, Hyeum plans to accelerate the development of agentic AI by utilizing its self-developed RPA (Robotic Process Automation) engine and enhancing LAM (Large Action Model) that can make inferences and decisions.

Ahead of the official launch of Alfred, Hyeum conducted beta testing from October 2024 and achieved a 175% increase in Hyeum Report usage compared to the same period last year. With this launch of Alfred, Hyeum will change the name of 'Hyeum Report' to 'Alfred Report' and will accelerate its market leadership as a full-fledged AI agent-based integrated financial and tax solution.

Ok Hyung-seok, CEO of Hyeum, said, “During the beta test period, Alfred improved the experience of using the report solution and proved the validity of the service.” He added, “We will continue to advance technology and business so that Alfred can establish itself as an essential AI agent for businesspeople, and lead the AI agent market in the finance and tax fields.”

Meanwhile, Hyeum has received a total of 21 billion won in investments from IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, Quad Ventures, Kiwoom Investment, etc., and last year, it was selected as one of the '1000+ Ultra-Gap Startups' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in recognition of its generative AI technology.
