Streaming House Kanzashi Holds Workation Business Showcase

Streaming House (CEO Shin Dong-hoon) and Kanzashi (CEO Masahide Akiyama) announced on the 20th that they held a workation showcase at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

“With the support of the Korea Tourism Organization, we had the opportunity to participate in EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, and took this opportunity to hold a showcase for our Japanese workation business with Kanzashi,” said Shin Dong-hoon, CEO of Streaming House, the operator of the workation brand “The Holiday,” which signed a business agreement (MOU) for B2B/B2G workation business in Japan in March.

CEO Shin added, “Since then, more Japanese corporate clients than expected have inquired about introducing workation, which seems to indicate a successful start to the business.”

Kanzashi, a subsidiary of Airtory Group, Japan's leading online travel agency, which is developing various regional mutual growth projects with local governments, also invited various networks in Japan, including local governments, hotels, and companies, for this showcase, and employees from the Tokyo headquarters and Osaka branch participated in joint marketing, making efforts for a successful Japanese B2B/B2G workation business.

Masahide Akiyama, CEO of Kanzashi, said, “Through this business, we have become confident that we can create a new model for the Japanese workation market. I believe that Streaming House, which is already running a successful business in Korea, and Kanzashi’s expertise in various Japanese networks and travel businesses can create synergy.”

Representative Akiyama also said, “This year in particular is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, and through Workation, I hope that the two countries will go beyond the existing trade and tourism and create a new hairpin called Workation (the company name Kanzashi means Korean hairpin).”

Meanwhile, the two companies plan to hold a Korea workation fam tour from September 10 to 12 for Japanese local governments and companies that have shown interest in introducing workation through this showcase. Through this, they plan to share B2B and B2G workation business models that are actively taking place in Korea and create various exchanges through the activation of workation between the two countries.
