Pungjin selected as 'Innovation Premier 1000'

Funjin was selected as one of the 'Innovation Premier 1000' in 2025.

Defense AI Leading Company Pungin (CEO Kim Deuk-hwa) announced on the 20th that it was finally selected for the 'Innovation Premier 1000' hosted by the government and the Financial Services Commission. Pungin proved its technological prowess and growth potential once again by being the only company to be included in the artificial intelligence field within the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (Advanced Defense Industry Division).

Following its selection as one of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration's "Defense Innovation Company 100" last year, Funjin has once again been recognized for its AI technology, achieving another meaningful achievement. In particular, it is analyzed that it received high praise for continuing to advance the technology of its core AI solution, "Kill-Web Matching (KWM)," including its first introduction of the AI electromagnetic spectrum analysis system, "KWM-Ocelot," at the recent "2025 International Artificial Intelligence Expo (AI EXPO KOREA)".

In fact, the artificial intelligence electromagnetic spectrum analysis system, 'KWM-Ocelot', entered the 2025 Army Idea Contest and won the grand prize (Army Reference Chief of Staff Award).

In addition, the unique synthetic data technology was also effective. This technology, which can generate high-quality data even in environments where it is difficult to secure real-world military data, is contributing to improving the performance of AI models in the defense sector. In particular, it is highly regarded as a technology suitable for AI training and verification based on battlefield scenarios, as it can quickly synthesize data similar to reality using only text-type information.

CEO Kim Deuk-hwa of Funjin said, “This selection as one of the ‘Innovation Premier 1000’ has enabled us to accelerate our growth strategy in various areas, including expanding investor connections, developing overseas sales channels, and IR consulting,” adding, “We will also speed up the commercialization of technologies targeting the global market and enhancing performance in real-world environments.”

Meanwhile, the 'Innovation Premier 1000' is a system in which 13 ministries, including the Financial Services Commission, collaborate to select 509 small and medium-sized enterprises with outstanding innovation and growth potential and provide customized financial and non-financial support. The selected companies will receive concentrated support from policy finance institutions until the end of 2026, as well as special benefits from each ministry, such as ▲Innovation Premier Certificate ▲R&D points ▲PR support, and various non-financial support, such as participation in investor connection platforms, overseas sales channel development, and overall management consulting.
