Genius Education announced that on the 16th, it had held a business meeting with KOICA trainees from government IT departments from various countries that it met through KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Matching Day at the Genius IT Education Center in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, to explore the possibility of overseas expansion of its edutech solutions and cooperation methods.
This meeting was attended by local officials from five countries, including Rwanda, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, and Tunisia, who shared the current status of their respective educational infrastructures and digital technology needs, and had in-depth discussions on the possibility of introducing Genius Education's AI Digital Textbook (AIDT) platform and IT curriculum overseas.
In addition to public cooperation, Genius Education emphasized that direct proposals through the private market are possible. Based on past cases of providing Korean-based education and interpretation during overseas lectures, it also explained that customized edutech solutions that take language and network environments into account can be provided. In particular, for countries with limited network environments, an offline content provision method based on 'Milk T' will also be reviewed.
Local participants reported that each country is currently devising a digital education strategy centered on the public sector, and some private schools are already introducing AIDT platforms and other platforms according to European standards. They also suggested that since local governments value “value for money” when introducing AI education, it would be necessary to provide comparative data with similar programs and a step-by-step implementation roadmap. There was also a suggestion that if digital education platforms such as AIDT develop beyond short-term technical education to a Korean fellowship program in the long term, they could receive greater interest and response locally.
In the future, Genius Education plans to review the feasibility of various paths such as KOICA, public institutions, and private companies and clarify the cooperative structure. It plans to propose a step-by-step action plan from introduction to expansion, and also pursue localization of French and Arabic content, technology strategies to respond to network-restricted environments, and development of a financial model that takes into account the government subsidy structure.
A representative of Genius Education said, “This agreement was meaningful in that it confirmed that Genius Education’s edutech solutions can expand into practical partnerships in the global market,” and “We will continue to work to eliminate the educational gap and internationalize technology-based education.”
