Aurora Five, a startup that operates the global fandom-based gifting platform 'FUZ', announced on the 20th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with the fan platform 'bemyfriends' to expand global fandom commerce and digital campaigns.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to plan joint campaigns centered around celebrities from various content industries such as K-POP, sports, dramas, and musicals, and to pursue practical collaboration including data linking between the two platforms and advancement of fandom-based business models.
The two companies will begin their collaboration based on the fandom ecosystem built around K-culture, but in the future, they plan to expand the scope of their collaboration to global figures and content in general, not limited to specific genres or countries. In particular, they explained that they expect a synergy effect in the fandom market based on their business experience in major Asian markets such as Japan and Taiwan, as well as their global network.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to gradually promote joint marketing, fan events, and cross-platform operation plans that meet the diverse needs of the global fandom.
Aurora Five CEO Park Si-ha said, “Through our collaboration with Be My Friends, we can implement more meaningful connections between fans and celebrities,” and “The combination of our global IP network and fandom commerce operation capabilities will contribute to expanding the depth and breadth of the fan experience.”
“FUZ is a remarkable service that redefines the relationship between fans and celebrities in the new realm of fandom commerce,” said Seo Woo-seok, CEO of Bimaifrences. “Through this collaboration, we plan to introduce new campaigns and solutions that meet the needs of diverse global fandoms.”
