
Mona Yongpyeong announced on the 19th that it signed a 'Business Agreement (MOU) for Activation of the Wellness Industry' with Seonmoon University Graduate School, Oxygen Footprint Co., Ltd., and the International Meditation Yoga Association at its Seoul office located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
This agreement was created to promote the strategic development of the domestic wellness industry and the advancement of its ecosystem through a cooperative system involving the public, private, academic, and research sectors. The four institutions participating in the agreement plan to pursue practical and sustainable cooperation, including joint research, field-oriented talent development, certification program operation, and marketing collaboration.
Representatives from each organization attended the signing ceremony and discussed various cooperation plans, such as promoting joint projects related to the wellness industry in the future, developing internship-related programs, and establishing a wellness content quality certification system.
A Mona Yongpyeong official said, “This agreement goes beyond a simple partnership and will serve as a foundation for realizing ESG management values and enhancing sustainability across the industry,” adding, “Based on our experience in operating wellness resorts and our brand assets, we will work with the participating organizations to strengthen our competitiveness in the market.”
The four organizations plan to contribute to the qualitative growth of the wellness industry through comprehensive cooperation in the future, such as establishing an industry-academia fund, developing joint wellness programs, and expanding the training of young talents. In particular, they plan to focus on strengthening ESG elements, such as operating wellness programs that incorporate environmentally friendly elements and creating youth-friendly jobs, to enhance reliability within the industry and secure competitiveness in connection with public projects.
Through this agreement, Mona Yongpyeong plans to strengthen its identity as a wellness resort brand while also implementing various cooperation models that can contribute to the development of the domestic wellness industry ecosystem.
