Siheung Industrial Promotion Agency (Director Lim Chang-ju) held the '2025 Siheung Innovation Forum – Collaborative Siheung Meister Startup Activation Plan' at the multipurpose hall on the first floor of Siheung Startup Center on June 24, 2025.
This forum was organized to seek collaborative Meister startup strategies linked to Siheung City’s industrial characteristics and to link these to policies and support projects. In particular, public-private cooperation plans for the advancement of local manufacturing industries and the creation of a technology startup foundation were discussed in detail.
Keynote speakers included Professor Yongjun Hyung of KAIST K-School and CEO Yongkwan Lee of Bluepoint Partners. CEO Yongkwan Lee presented a collaboration strategy between companies and startups and a way for manufacturing companies to utilize AI technology, while Professor Yongjun Hyung introduced the ‘Manufacturing Networkization’ strategy based on an analysis of the industrial structure of Siheung Industrial Complex and emphasized the feasibility of a future industrial model.
The forum was attended by approximately 30 people including Siheung City Economic Bureau Director, Future Strategy Officer, Corporate Support Division, and other city officials, as well as Siheung Industrial Promotion Agency, Siheung City Entrepreneurs Association, Siheung City Small and Medium Business Owners Association, SLZ, Juns Engineering, SBHE, and Road One, who exchanged opinions centered on the field and discussed future startup support policies and the direction of the local industry.
Lim Chang-ju, the president of Siheung Industrial Promotion Agency, said, “We will promote the collaborative startup strategies and policy ideas derived from the forum as specific support projects to contribute to revitalizing the local technology-based startup ecosystem.”
