Simple Platform, Manufacturing AI Quality Prediction and Integrated Operation Platform Demonstration Project Order

Simple Platform, an industrial AIoT specialist, is embarking on a full-scale AI-based manufacturing innovation.

Simple Platform (CEO Im Dae-geun and Kang Tae-shin) announced on the 19th that it had won a contract for the 'Manufacturing AI Quality Prediction and Integrated Operation Platform Demonstration Project' targeting the CTR Changwon Plant.

The demonstration project will be carried out until 2026, and after completion, the technology will be expanded to CTR partners and the entire Gyeongnam region's automotive parts cluster. This project is supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Gyeongsangnam-do Province, and is promoted as part of the '2025 Manufacturing AI-Based Development Project (AI Solution Development and Demonstration Support)' hosted by Gyeongnam Technopark.

Simple Platform is working with CTR, an automotive parts specialist, to build a quality prediction AI system and an MLOps-based integrated AI operation platform. Through this project, the company will develop an AI algorithm that uses the core technology of its manufacturing-specialized AI platform, ‘Nubison’, to analyze time series data by process to predict the possibility of defects in advance. The developed technology will be applied to CTR’s production site to simultaneously improve production quality and facility operation efficiency.

This demonstration project was led by Formation Labs, and Kyolim Soft was in charge of developing power prediction AI, forming a cooperative system between smart factory and ICT convergence solution companies.

CTR is a global automotive parts company with a global market share of over 10% in the ball joint sector. It produces core parts such as suspension, drive, and steering systems, and supplies products to major automakers such as Hyundai, Kia, GM, Stellantis, Ford, and Toyota. Its annual sales amount to approximately KRW 1 trillion (as of 2023), and it continues to grow steadily based on its module unit parts supply capacity and global OEM network.

Simple Platform CEO Im Dae-geun said, “This demonstration project will be an opportunity to secure an AI-based quality control model that can be applied across the domestic automobile parts industry, beyond simple technology introduction.” He added, “In the future, we will graft AI onto various manufacturing processes such as semiconductors and automobile parts, and leap forward as a partner leading the AI transformation (AX) in the manufacturing sector.”
