Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center, 'G-Star Pitchday' held

Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center announced on the 16th that it will hold G-Star Pitchday, a competition for local prospective entrepreneurs and early-stage entrepreneurs (established within 3 years) to discover ideas and verify marketability.

G-Star Pitchday is a program where participants with startup ideas can present their ideas on various topics and receive verification and consulting from experts on site. The presentation topics are diverse, ranging from small-scale ideas for solving real-life problems to technology-based innovative items.

This program has been operated a total of 61 times since its launch in 2017 until 2024, and has discovered 432 ideas. Some of these have successfully commercialized through participation in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ preliminary startup package, early startup package, and Gyeongbuk Center’s G-Star Dreamers.

The 2025 competition consists of three stages: preliminary, main, and final. The preliminary rounds will be held once a month from May to July, and a total of nine teams will be selected through this. The first preliminary round will be held on May 28, and applications for participation can be made on the Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center website until May 21.

The preliminary round will be held in the form of a Boost-up Camp in cooperation with the Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center. The final round will be held at the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Startup Festival, where five teams selected from each center will participate, and the outstanding participant will be awarded the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award.

Lee Moon-rak, head of the Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center, said that through this program, they will actively support the discovery of promising startup ideas in the region and help them lead to actual startup success.
