Fashion AI company Lookco (CEO Koh Hae-shin) participated in 'AWS Summit Seoul 2025' held at COEX in Seoul from May 14th to 15th and presented a service combining AI virtual fitting and product search.
At this summit, Lookco operated a booth with the main theme of ‘AI virtual fitting and product search’. After taking a picture of their face and selecting the fashion style they wanted, such as retro, bohemian, or preppy, they were able to have a unique experience of seeing themselves wearing clothes of that style. In particular, by scanning the QR code at the top of the generated image, they could immediately search for and purchase vintage products similar to the clothes in the image on ‘SecondSold’, a national vintage shop product integration platform, providing a practical shopping experience that goes beyond a simple demonstration.
'SecondSold' is a vintage fashion platform with over 600,000 products from around 300 vintage specialty sellers nationwide. Due to the nature of used clothing, it takes a lot of time to input accurate information compared to new products, and the large number of products makes it difficult to find the product you want. Lookco applied its self-developed fashion AI technology to SecondSold to automatically recognize product information and support intuitive searches for users, thereby providing an easier and faster used clothing purchasing experience compared to other services. The AI virtual fitting demonstration utilizing various AWS services including generative AI such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Nova, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Rekognition was also planned as part of the development of this user experience.
Lookco plans to continue to strengthen its technical collaboration with AWS in the future and officially integrate the virtual fitting service it recently introduced into its other core service, the 'A Closet' app. Through this, users will be able to freely virtually try on the clothes they want in A Closet and even try out styling matches with other clothes they already own. In addition, it plans to further enhance the user experience by launching an AI chatbot service that can recommend outfits that match the weather or situation and even provide fashion-related advice.
“The rapid development of LLM (Large Language Model) technology is bringing unprecedented new opportunities and innovation to the fashion market,” said Lookco CEO Koh Hae-shin. “Lookco will go beyond virtual fittings and create a digital wardrobe-based hyper-personalized fashion service that allows users to experience real value.”
