Watervation, selected as 'Super Gap Startup 1000+' by DIPS… Accelerating the development of eco-friendly wet cleaning modules for air conditioning and industrial use

– Selected as a promising startup in the top 10 national strategic industries

– Eco-friendly wet cleaning module covering indoor air quality management (IAQ) to industrial and global air conditioning markets

-Start of super-gap technology advancement to secure global eco-friendly technology hegemony

Watervation (CEO Jung Yoon-young), an air purification solution company utilizing water, has been finally selected for the eco-friendly and energy sector of the 'Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project (DIPS 1000+),' a representative startup incubation project of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo).

Through this DIPS selection, Watervation plans to focus on securing global standards for the technology and on market verification and reliability based on actual experience. Furthermore, it is a strategy to fully advance into the global air purification market where environmental regulations are being strengthened in the US, Europe, etc. The 'Super Gap Project' is a strategic fostering project of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups that discovers 1,000 promising startups in 10 national strategic industries such as AI, system semiconductors, and bio, and supports them with up to 1.1 billion won (up to 600 million won in commercialization funds and up to 500 million won in R&D funds) for up to 3 years.

Watervation has an advanced wet cleaning technology that reduces fine dust and harmful gases in the air using water, and this is a solution that can be widely applied to high value-added industries, from industrial environments such as semiconductor processes to building air conditioning systems. This technology is an innovative method that simultaneously solves the toxicity problem of chemical filters and the problem of reduced efficiency when used for a long time, and is attracting attention as a practical alternative to the recently strengthened carbon regulations and indoor/outdoor air quality standards.

CEO Jeong Yoon-young said, “In order to secure global technological hegemony, super-gap technologies are essential in the eco-friendly field as well,” and added, “Watervation will establish a new global standard for wet cleaning technology to respond to climate, a global resource issue, and will contribute to Korea securing technological leadership in the eco-friendly air purification field.”

Meanwhile, products that use Watervation technology have been designated as innovative products by the Public Procurement Service, and sales to public institutions will begin in the second half of 2025, and distribution to vulnerable groups such as schools and hospitals will also be expanded.
