Seoul Fintech Lab, a fintech specialized startup incubation center operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, has selected edutech fintech startup BAMI EDU, which developed the AI-based hyper-personalized learning platform BAMI MATH, as a company to move into in the first half of 2025.
Bamiedu is a company that presents an innovative educational finance platform that combines generative AI and blockchain technology to enable the production, distribution, copyright protection, and monetization of digital educational content. With this move into Seoul Fintech Lab, Bamiedu plans to further strengthen its position in the global edutech and fintech market by advancing its technology and expanding overseas in earnest.
Bamiedu's core service, 'Bamimath', automatically analyzes each student's level to create personalized learning materials, and registers the copyright for each content as a blockchain-based NFT to provide automatic revenue distribution to the creator through a smart contract. It also provides a 24-hour learning Q&A function through an AI tutor bot and an edutech marketplace function that allows teachers to trade materials, providing practical benefits to both educators and learners.
Bamiedu is currently accelerating its entry into the global market, focusing on the United States, and is conducting a blockchain-based copyright protection demonstration project in cooperation with The Capital University. It is also pursuing a joint development project with the Vietnam VMO headquarters and the Korea Edutech Industry Association, and is also expanding its partnership to conquer the emerging markets of Europe and Southeast Asia.
In particular, Bamiedu was selected for KOTRA's overseas expansion support project in 2024 and is accelerating its entry into the US market. It is also contributing to the reliability of global educational content and standardization of financial transactions through the joint establishment of IACE, an international digital textbook verification association.
An official from Seoul Fintech Lab said, “Bamiedu is a promising company that will lead the next-generation edufintech market with its convergence technology that crosses the boundaries between education and finance,” and added, “We will actively support it so that it can realize educational innovation in the global market based in Seoul.”
