Healthcare startup LEESOL announced on the 15th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with global hybrid marketing company Setoworks and will begin full-scale entry into the global market for its sleep health management wearable device, 'Sleepisol'.
The two companies held an agreement signing ceremony on the 14th at Seto Square, a content-only studio at Seto Works’ headquarters in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Through this agreement, the two companies agreed to pursue joint marketing and distribution strategies centered on major overseas markets such as the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and the Middle East.
Lysol has developed 'Sleepisol', a microcurrent-based brainwave utilization device that applies non-invasive electrical stimulation (tACS, Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation) technology. Sleepisol has been recognized for its user-friendly UX and innovative technology, and participated in CES.
Setoworks is carrying out over 1,000 global crowdfunding projects in Asia and has official partnerships with major global crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter in the US, Makuake in Japan, ZecZec in Taiwan, and Modian in China. Recently, it has expanded its POC (Proof of Concept) business to the B2B industry and is continuously expanding its export and distribution network through offline exhibitions and pop-up stores. This is expected to be of great help to B2B export companies.
Cho Chung-yeon, CEO of Setoworks, said, “In order to conquer the global healthcare market, customized strategies that reflect local consumer characteristics and rapid execution are key,” adding, “We expect to create a new overseas success model by combining Risol’s differentiated technological prowess and product competitiveness with Setoworks’ global consulting and marketing know-how.”
Kwon Gu-seong, Co-CEO of Risol, said, “Sleepisol’s technological prowess has already been recognized both domestically and internationally, so this collaboration with Setoworks will be an important turning point for expanding into the global market,” adding, “By closely collaborating throughout the entire process from crowdfunding to overseas marketing, distribution, and POC, we will simultaneously increase brand awareness and export performance.”
