Hooshi Partners Signs Business Agreements with 15 Key Partners in OB Beer Supply Chain

Climate fintech company Hooshi Partners (Co-CEOs Lee Haeng-yeol and Cho Seong-hun), specializing in carbon emission management and emissions trading, announced on the 15th that it recently signed a regular business contract for supply chain carbon emission measurement and reduction management for 15 major partners in the supply chain of OB Beer .

This project is significant in that it is a case where the open innovation PoC collaboration with OB Beer has been converted into a full-fledged regular business, and that OB Beer's sustainable management strategy of establishing a carbon management system for the entire supply chain, including product carbon footprint (PCF) measurement, has entered the practical implementation phase.

As a leading sustainable management company, OB Beer is promoting carbon reduction not only in its production process through direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions (Scope 2), but also throughout its entire value chain (Scope 3) including packaging and raw material suppliers. Through this project, Hooshi Partners has established itself as an implementation partner for the supply chain carbon management system.

Since being selected as an open innovation cooperation partner for calculating the carbon footprint (PCF) of each OB beer product in the second half of 2023, Hooshi Partners has expanded its accumulated technology and know-how to this regular business. In the future, it plans to provide comprehensive carbon-neutral solutions, including supply chain emissions measurement, greenhouse gas reduction consulting, and carbon finance commercialization across the entire F&B (Food & Beverage) industry.

Climate fintech startup Hooshi Partners provides carbon emission management ▲emissions trading ▲CBAM (Carbon Network of Nations) response ▲reduction roadmap establishment, etc. to companies in need through integrated services based on the Carbon Emission Management Platform (MRVC), and supports corporate profit generation and sustainable management through the carbon emission management SaaS (Software as a Service) 'NetZ' and the emissions marketplace 'KCX'.

An OB Beer official said, “Through this collaboration, we have been able to understand not only the direct and indirect carbon emissions of OB Beer’s own production process, but also the carbon emission management systems of our partners throughout the supply chain.” He added, “As a company leading sustainable management, we will do our best to increase sustainability through communication with our partners.”

“At a time when the demand for disclosure of global-level supply chain carbon information is strengthening, the introduction and reduction of a preemptive supply chain carbon management system is becoming key to securing competitiveness,” said Hushi Partners CEO Lee Haeng-yeol. “We will support our supply chain partners to secure competitiveness through an integrated carbon-neutral solution that links companies’ emissions measurement, reduction, and emissions trading.”
