Daejeon Innovation Center and Jetro conclude bio startup technology exchange meeting

The Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Park Dae-hee, hereinafter referred to as the Daejeon Innovation Center) successfully held a bio startup technology exchange meeting with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Seoul office at the Daejeon Startup Park headquarters (Gung-dong, Yuseong-gu) on the 14th.

This technology exchange meeting, held as part of the Daejeon Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jang-woo) project to 'create a startup ecosystem and operate a startup park in 2025', was attended by approximately 30 people, including the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Seoul office, Japanese pharmaceutical company Daiichi-Sankyo, 10 startups in the Daejeon area, and local related organizations.

The technology exchange meeting was composed of ▲Japanese market trends and technology trends ▲presentation of demand technology by Japanese pharmaceutical companies (Daiichi-Sankyo) ▲individual startup consultations ▲networking, etc. to share differences and similarities in the businesses of the two countries and to broaden the scope of mutual understanding.

The Daejeon area startups that participated on this day were ▲Celliaz (CEO Kang Kyung-hwa), ▲Elzen Therapeutics (CEO Tae Hyeon-seop), ▲Intucell (CEO Park Tae-gyo), ▲KMD Bio (CEO Kim Myeong-hun), ▲Q-Peak Bio (CEO Hwang Jun-seong), ▲Riventech (CEO Jang Hyeon), ▲Psyche Biotech (CEO Kim Eun-young), a total of 7 companies.

Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, emphasized, “This technology exchange meeting was the cornerstone for technology cooperation between Japanese companies and Korean startups,” and “We will continue to provide active support so that Daejeon-area startups can advance into not only the Japanese market but also the global market.”
