Dassault Systèmes X Airbus Extend Strategic Partnership to Apply Virtual Twins to Next-Generation Programs

Dassault Systèmes , a global 3D design and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions company, announced on the 14th that it has extended its long-term strategic partnership with Airbus and that Airbus has decided to introduce the '3DEXPERIENCE' platform company-wide across the development and operation of its entire next-generation product line, including civil and military aircraft and helicopters.

With this decision, Dassault Systèmes will provide a collaborative system based on a virtual model, the Virtual Twin, in an on-premise or Sovereign Cloud environment for more than 20,000 users across Airbus’ entire business and supply chain. Through this, Airbus expects to optimize operations in various areas, such as shortening product development cycles, increasing production efficiency, and improving maintenance and after-sales service quality.

Guillaume Faury, Airbus CEO, said: “Digital transformation is essential to scale production of commercial aircraft, prepare the next generation of low-carbon aviation platforms and develop future defence and security solutions. Our collaboration with Dassault Systèmes will help Airbus secure quality, safety and security throughout the entire process, from design to operation.”

“This partnership marks a new phase in the collaboration between Dassault Systèmes and Airbus,” said Bernard Charlès, President and CEO of Dassault Systèmes. “The 3DEXPERIENCE platform will enable Airbus to integrate scientific technologies – generative design powered by AI, material science, modeling and simulation – to create new experiences that will shape the future of the aerospace industry.”

Through this partnership extension, Dassault Systèmes will provide Airbus with a total of seven industry solution experiences based on 3DEXPERIENCE: ▲Program Excellence, ▲Winning Concept, ▲Co-Design to Target, ▲Cleared to Operate, ▲Ready for Rate, ▲Build to Operate, and ▲Keep Them Operating.
