Multimodal data platform specialist MISO Information Technology announced on the 14th that it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hospital Information System (HIS, EMR) specialist Hizen Healthcare. This agreement is the first step toward expanding MISO Information Technology’s global healthcare business, and the two companies plan to fully launch overseas expansion of K-healthcare technology and strengthen the competitiveness of global digital healthcare solutions.
Smile Information Technology provides medical data integration and clinical research solutions to major university hospitals and general hospitals in Korea, including Yonsei Medical Center, Konkuk University Hospital, and Chonnam National University Hospital, and is expanding its digital healthcare business from treatment-centered to prevention-centered. In particular, it has built a medical big data platform through the MyData-based personal health record (PHR) business.
For the past 10 years, Heizen Healthcare has successfully implemented hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic health records (EMR) localization projects in Indonesia, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Africa. In particular, it has a hospital information system and radiation dose management system that are highly trusted by small and medium-sized hospitals and screening centers.
Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to advance the technology of digital healthcare solutions such as medical data standardization, telemedicine, medical AI, and health checkups, and secure a global distribution network. In addition, they plan to jointly advance into Europe, North America, and other regions starting from Asia, and will also pursue the development of an AI-based next-generation hospital information system in the future. Through this, they expect to strengthen their competitiveness in the global medical IT market, improve medical accessibility, and increase sales by opening up new markets.
