Busan Changgyeong, Busan-style workation networking event 'W-DAY' May schedule revealed

Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Yongwoo Kim, hereinafter referred to as Busan Creative Economy) has released the May 2025 schedule for 'W-DAY', a Busan-style workation networking program.

'W-DAY' is a networking event where workation participants from various occupations gather every Wednesday to share insights and discover practical collaboration opportunities, and aims to form meaningful relationships and activate communities within the startup ecosystem. In May, it will consist of a total of 4 sessions: ▲1 local theme ▲1 marketing theme ▲2 startup themes, and experts in each field will share their experiences and network with participants.

This month's main programs are as follows:

▲The story of the independent bookstore ‘Crete’, the island of thought and freedom – Kang Dong-hoon, CEO of the independent bookstore Crete
▲Ask someone who has been working at a major entertainment agency for 8 years – SM Entertainment planner Junhee Babo
▲Link between AI trends and Busan marine startup trends – Underwater Solution CEO Ok Soo-seok
▲Preparation for startups that won’t fail and AI utilization – Inbugs Center Director Song Yong-jun

Last April, a session with CEO Taehoon Kim of Bubble Cloud was held through 'W-Startup DAY', and various occupations including early-stage entrepreneurs in their third month, as well as those in the distribution, finance, and design service industries, participated, and ideas for collaboration with doctors in the renewable energy field were exchanged on-site, receiving a high level of practicality and response.

Regarding this, PM Moon Kyung-ryun said, “Among the workations taking place nationwide, Busan is particularly focusing on programs centered on business networking,” and added, “I hope that W-DAY and W-Week in May will go beyond simple events and become a place for connections that lead to actual business results.”

Additionally, starting this May, two new tourism programs have been added to allow participants to experience local cultural content in addition to networking.

It is designed so that participants can experience the true value of 'workation' where they can enjoy both work and leisure by including a tourism voucher product that allows them to experience Taejongdae Zipline and visit 'Arte Museum', Busan's representative media art exhibition space. Anyone can participate in W-DAY, and you can check the application and detailed information on the official Busan Workation website.
