Day One Company, 2,733% growth in 4 years… AI education content hits the market

– AI lectures increase 30-fold… 95 new lectures launched in 2024 alone

-The center of demand for AI education is the middle-aged and older generation in their 40s and 50s, with 25% aged between 45 and 54.

Fast Campus, a practical education brand of Day One Company (CEO Kangmin Lee, KOSDAQ 373160), a leading domestic adult education content company, announced on the 12th that it is leading the AI education market and continuing its success.

DayOne Company Fast Campus has been proactively introducing AI education content since 2020, before the AI craze. The number of AI lectures, which was only 5 at the time, increased more than 30-fold to 152 in 2024, and reflected rapidly changing technology trends in the content in real time, such as launching 95 new AI lectures in 2024 alone.

This active content expansion has led to remarkable results, coupled with the explosive increase in actual AI learning demand. Fast Campus' AI lecture sales have surged 2,733% from about 300 million won in 2020 to about 8.5 billion won in 2024, recording an unprecedented growth rate. This is evaluated as the result of Fast Campus accurately reading the potential needs of the market and realizing them with content.

What is interesting is that the center of demand for AI education is not the digital native generation, but the middle-aged and older generation. According to the analysis of the data on the visit to the AI lecture details page of Fast Campus in 2024, visitors aged 45 to 54 accounted for the largest proportion at 25%, and those aged 40 and older accounted for 45% of all visitors. Seniors aged 65 and older also accounted for 5%.

This proves that AI education is not just a fad for a certain generation, but is becoming an essential tool for improving job competitiveness and work productivity for all age groups. In particular, the analysis is that AI learning is perceived as survival education for the middle-aged and older generations to continue their careers and explore new possibilities in a rapidly changing digital environment.

Students' responses also support the fact that Fast Campus' AI education content strategy was on the mark. The AI lecture that recorded the highest sales at Fast Campus last year was 'RAG Guide from GPT to Local Model using Teddy Note's Langchain', which achieved the greatest success among AI lectures with cumulative sales exceeding 6 billion won. Following that, 'Learn ComfyUI Image/Video/Game/Advertisement Production from Pros' and '400 Unrealistic ChatGPT Utilization Bibles for Successful Workers in the AI Era' received great responses with sales of 5.4 billion won and 4 billion won, respectively.

What these lectures have in common is that they are immediately applicable to work through a practical curriculum and various use cases. Based on lecture content designed directly by industry experts, they teach how to effectively use AI tools, securing high educational satisfaction and practical applicability for students at the same time.

The search keyword analysis results also clearly show a trend of demand for AI education centered on practice. The most searched AI-related keywords on the Fast Campus homepage in 2024 were in the image generation field, with ▲Midjourney and ▲Stable Diffusion receiving overwhelming attention. Practical AI utilization keywords such as ▲Generative AI ▲ChatGPT ▲Prompt followed in the top ranks.

In addition, the search ratio for applying AI to practice in specialized fields such as ▲medical ▲papers was also prominent. This suggests that AI education is expanding beyond general interest to in-depth learning aimed at practical use in various industrial fields.

“AI is no longer an option, but an essential capability in all industries, and the high will to learn, especially among the middle-aged and older generation, clearly demonstrates this change,” said Kangmin Lee, CEO of DayOne Company. “DayOne Company will continue to develop AI education content tailored to each industry at the forefront of technological change, and will redefine the standards for adult learning in the AI era with practical education that anyone can easily follow.”
