
Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Park Dae-hee, hereinafter referred to as Daejeon Innovation Center) and Daejeon Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jang-woo) announced that they were selected as the finalists for the '2025 Collaborative Maker Space Operation Project' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo) this year, securing KRW 600 million in national funding.
This project will be promoted in a collaborative manner, with the representative organization being ▲Daejeon Innovation Center (CEO Park Dae-hee), and the collaborating organizations being ▲FunFun3D Co., Ltd. (CEO Moon Yong-jae) and ▲Gravity Company Co., Ltd. (CEO Song Hoon-min) who will begin in earnest to support manufacturing startups and spread maker culture.
Daejeon Innovation Center announced that it was selected for the collaborative makerspace operation project in 2024, and further strengthened its role as a central base for supporting regional manufacturing startups by achieving the following results in one year: ▲7,505 prototypes produced, ▲23 new startups created, ▲133 jobs created, and ▲44.8 billion won in sales for supported companies for manufacturing startups and prospective startups.
Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “We will establish ourselves as the central hub of makerspaces in the Chungcheong region by providing entrepreneurs with comprehensive support, including prototype production, business model advancement, and investment linkage through collaboration with various startup support organizations and makerspaces.”
The facility is located in the 'Daejeon Startup Hub' building on Jungang-ro, Daejeon Metropolitan City, and is operated based on the full support of facilities and equipment from Daejeon Metropolitan City. It is characterized by a startup support environment that provides one-stop support for all stages of startups, including space, equipment, and consulting.
