McKinley Rice (hereinafter referred to as Redrob), which operates the global talent recruitment platform ‘Redrob’, announced on the 9th that it was selected as the operator of the ‘Overseas Excellent SW Experience Recruitment Linkage’ project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Venture Business Association.
This project is a program designed to resolve the software development manpower shortage experienced by domestic venture companies and to strengthen their technological competitiveness, and its key goal is to connect high-level talent in India with domestic companies.
As a business operator, Redrop oversees the entire process, from recruiting participating companies to matching talent, post-employment management, and creating a local work environment. Participating companies are limited to those that have been verified as venture companies or are scheduled to be verified during the business period, and the talent recruitment method is operated in two ways: 'local remote work type (commuting to a shared office in India)' and 'domestic inflow type (domestic work based on E-7 visa)'.
Participating companies will be provided with benefits such as job posting registration, talent recommendation, and interview support, as well as exemption of fees and partial support for recruitment expenses. In particular, in the case of domestic inflow recruitment, some airfare, visa issuance, and initial settlement expenses will also be supported.
The project involved 358 companies in the first year of 2024, hiring a total of 206 people, six of whom were actually hired by domestic companies and are currently working in domestic fields.
Redrop operates offices and a dedicated HR team in five cities in India, and directly provides overall operational infrastructure, including post-recruitment work attitude management, collaboration system establishment, and tax and legal response. Through this, it is contributing to reducing the uncertainty and burden experienced by domestic companies in the process of recruiting and operating overseas talent.
Redrob CEO Kim Jeong-woo said, “The most difficult part for domestic venture companies when hiring overseas development talent is the operation and management after hiring,” and “Redrob is the only HR service in Korea that has a structure that can handle the entire process from hiring to onboarding and work operation on its own.” He added, “Through this selection of an operator, we will support more companies to stably hire and operate global talent.”
