Korea Mobile Game Association, Funky Kongs, XPLA Sign Business Agreement

The Korea Mobile Game Association (Chairman Hwang Seong-ik) and Funky Kongs (CEO Hwang Hyeon-gi) announced on the 9th that they signed a business agreement to jointly promote the global blockchain mainnet XPLA and the web3 game incubation program.

This agreement is the first step in establishing a practical cooperation system covering the entire blockchain game industry. The Korea Mobile Game Association, Punkvism, and XPLA will discover promising projects based on their respective expertise and support the entire process from development to onboarding. In particular, XPLA plans to present customized strategies for each project and collaborate to ensure stable performance even after launch.

The Korea Mobile Game Association and Punkvism launched the Web3 Game Accelerating Consortium in March. They are establishing a support system for game developers, including publishing, investment, and consulting. With XPLA joining as an incubation partner, the scope of cooperation has expanded to include technology linkage and mainnet onboarding.

XPLA is a Layer 1 mainnet specialized in web3 games. It operates an ecosystem based on collaboration with global partners such as Google Cloud, Animoca Brands, and YGG. It has onboarded popular IP-based games such as 'Summoners War: Chronicle', 'The Walking Dead: All Stars', and 'Minigame Heaven' to the mainnet, and has extensive experience linking content to actual services along with stable infrastructure.

Hwang Seong-ik, Chairman of the Korea Mobile Game Association, said, “The association plans to provide various support such as education, consulting, and networking to help small and medium-sized developers effectively respond to the Web3 environment.”

Paul Kim, XPLA team leader, said, “The Web3 game market has great growth potential, but the barriers to entry are still high. Through this collaboration, XPLA will support developers to develop content in a more stable environment and enter the global ecosystem.”

Hwang Hyun-ki, CEO of Punkvism, said, “Punkvism is a blockchain specialized company that covers NFT, coins, and RWA. Based on the experience we have accumulated so far, we plan to provide systematic incubating services to game companies, such as coin development, exchange listing support, and investment attraction.” In addition, the Punkvism community announced a listing schedule scheduled for May 2025, and shared news about mining, staking, and futures trading, making a full-fledged entry into the global blockchain market. With four innovative projects, including Soccergo, Eternal Moon, Lotus Fund, and Chichi Ping Ping, synergy with the web3 game projects discovered through this agreement is expected.

Meanwhile, the Web3 Game Accelerating Consortium is expanding its connections with specialized partners in each field through an ecosystem-centered cooperative structure. Exola, Mixmarble, and XPLA have joined as partners, and they plan to work together to address the technical and commercial challenges that developers face in the early stages.
