– Expanding the influx of various sellers such as tarot and fortune telling… Expecting to strengthen the competitiveness of differentiated platforms

Grip Company (CEO Kim Hanna and Kim Taesu), which operates the live commerce shopping app 'Grip', announced on the 8th that it will significantly lower the barriers to entry in order to expand the entry of individual sellers.
Starting in May, Grip has simplified the required documentation procedures required for seller registration, creating an environment where anyone can easily sell products. Individuals without a business registration certificate can also register, lowering the threshold so that even novice sellers without sales experience can start without burden.
With this reorganization, individuals who previously had difficulty entering the online market, such as overseas direct purchase sellers, traditional market merchants, farmers and fishermen in mountainous areas, and small offline store operators, can now easily and quickly start live commerce on Grip. For example, farmers or fishermen who produce local specialties, sellers who sell overseas direct purchase products on a small scale, merchants who run stores in traditional markets, and individual business owners who run local prop shops can introduce and sell products by directly communicating with consumers without a separate registration process. An environment has been created where anyone can easily open a new sales channel through live broadcasting without a complicated process.
This measure is a strategic reorganization that goes beyond simple easing of requirements to realize Grip’s vision of “Everyone can sell.” The plan is to embrace various individual sellers such as small business owners, self-employed individuals, and one-person content creators, increase the number of sellers and live broadcasts within the platform, and further drive sales growth across the entire platform.
Grip plans to ultimately transform its platform into 'creative commerce' based on this strategy. Based on a real-time communication structure, it plans to further solidify the culture in which sellers and customers form fandoms by building relationships beyond one-time transactions, and to create a differentiated commerce experience in which sellers and consumers are directly connected through real-time communication via live broadcasts in C2C markets such as Carrot Market and Beonggae Market. Through this communication-based commerce, it plans to expand the participation of various individual sellers and further strengthen the fandom-centered commerce ecosystem.
Grip Company CEO Taesoo Kim said, “This change is not just about relaxing the requirements for entry, but is also an overhaul that opens the door for anyone, from beginner sellers with no sales experience to various individual creators, to easily start live commerce.” He added, “We will continue to expand the commerce ecosystem where sellers can connect directly with customers and build lasting relationships with just their talent and products.”
