Nutzy Healthcare's 'Cashwalk' Enters Japanese Market

Digital healthcare company Nutzy Healthcare Co., Ltd.'s health management app 'Cashwalk' has officially entered the Japanese market. It first released the Android (AOS) app and has begun to attack the Asian market in earnest following the North American market.

This entry into Japan was made with attention to the characteristics of the Japanese market, where interest in health and wellness services is high along with the aging population, and the reward-based advertising market is also steadily growing. Cashwalk, which previously achieved high user participation rates in North America, plans to establish itself in the Japanese market by focusing on localized user experiences.

Japan Cashwalk is provided based on LINE and Google accounts, which are highly used by Japanese people, and a familiar UI design using characters has been applied to increase convenience for Japanese users. While maintaining the basic structure of a walking-based reward system, a new reward structure tailored to local Japanese consumption patterns has been created. When users accumulate points through the number of steps, they can exchange them for gift cards for popular local brands in Japan, such as Amazon Japan, Mister Donut, Family Mart, Starbucks, Google Play, Ponta Points, and d Points. The number of affiliated companies is expected to continue to expand in the future. In addition, a ‘timestamp’ function that allows exercise data to be saved and shared as images and a statistics sharing screen are also provided to encourage sharing of daily life through SNS.

Song Seung-geun, CEO of Nutzy Healthcare, said, “Japan is a market with high interest in health management and improving the quality of life of the senior generation due to the aging population, and Cashwalk, a walking-based health management app, has great growth potential.” He added, “We will continue to position ourselves as a platform that helps global users naturally form healthy habits in their daily lives.”

Meanwhile, Cashwalk currently operates services in Korea, the United States, Canada, and Japan, and is also gradually discussing the launch of a Japanese iOS version and expansion into additional markets.
