KAIST startup Polyphenol Factory (CEO Hae-shin Lee) announced that its hair loss care brand 'Gravity' participated in the French consumer goods fair 'FOIRE DE PARIS 2025'.
'FOIRE DE PARIS 2025' is a French consumer goods exhibition with a 120-year tradition that opened on April 30th and will be held at Paris Porte de Versailles until May 13th. About 1,200 brands from 40 countries around the world participate every year, meeting with over 430,000 European consumers.
Gravity is showcasing its flagship product, ‘Hair Lifting Shampoo’, and its new product, ‘Hair Lifting Shot’, at this exhibition.
The exhibition booth is constantly filled with visitors, and a product demonstration using KAIST’s core technology, LiftMax308™, is also underway. Through the on-site experience, buyers, beauty industry insiders, and influencers from major European countries, including France and Italy, are visiting for consultations.
The exhibition booth received a lot of attention with about 10,000 visitors flocking to the first day alone and the 5,000 prepared products quickly selling out.
Polyphenol Factory CEO Lee Hae-shin said, “It is a very meaningful achievement to have proven the competitiveness of Gravity products in Paris, France, a world-leading cosmetics country. The localization strategy that we have developed through collaboration with Lotte Home Shopping is also showing results in the European market. We plan to further expand our brand contact points in Europe and strengthen our offline distribution network in the future.”
Meanwhile, Gravity has achieved the feat of producing 1 million bottles in just one year since its launch, reaching cumulative sales of 20 billion won, and selling an average of 2,740 units per day. The product is continuing to show remarkable performance across major distribution channels, including selling out in 109 hours after launch, selling out all 17 pre-orders, opening in E-Mart, selling out in 39 minutes at Olive Young, and ranking first in the category, and being the No. 1 brand in hair loss shampoo searches on Naver.
