Mediac Attracts 3 Billion Won in Investment

Medical IT startup Mediarch announced that it has attracted 3 billion won in pre-series A investment from JB Investment. Through this investment, Mediarch plans to accelerate domestic and international market expansion and technological advancement.

Mediac is developing and operating a multilingual AI dictionary questionnaire app called ‘SIMTOMI’.

'Simtomi' won an award of excellence at the '2024 Local Government Foreign Resident Support Best Practice Competition' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and was recognized for its service potential in the public sector. It currently supports more than 13 languages, and the number of foreign patient treatment referrals in the first year of its launch exceeded 8,000.

Mediac then launched 'Simtomi-Care', a treatment support service that automatically converts patient questionnaire data into medical terms and transmits them to medical staff. The service has shown the effect of reducing treatment time by an average of 60% or more, and is expanding B2B sales targeting domestic and international medical institutions and local governments.

JB Investment Managing Director Ha-ri Yoon said, “Mediaarch is creating real results in the medical AI field, and its potential for expansion in the global market is also highly evaluated.”

Lee Chan-hyung, CEO of Mediac, said, “With this investment, we will expand our services beyond the domestic market to overseas medical institutions and companies,” and “We will accelerate our growth into a global medical IT company.”
