
SBXG , the agency of the esports team BNK FEARX, announced on the 7th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with game content company Mobigames for joint marketing cooperation utilizing esports and game IP. The agreement signing ceremony was held at the BNK FEARX Clubhouse in Jonggak, Seoul on April 30th, and was attended by officials from both companies, including SBXG CEO Jeong-Hyeon Lim and Mobidays’ parent company, Mobigames’ CIO In-Beom Kim.
SBXG operates BNK PierX, an esports club active in various global leagues, including League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and FC Online. In particular, since July 2021, it has signed an agreement with Busan Metropolitan City and has continued its activities as a representative local esports team.
Through this agreement, both companies will engage in joint marketing and content collaboration utilizing their respective IPs. SBXG will operate events and promotional content that link Mobigames’ game IPs to the BNK PeerX team and esports content, while Mobigames plans to develop various content collaborations utilizing the team IPs. In addition, SBXG plans to utilize offline spaces in Seoul and Busan (Portal, Mouse Potato, Brena) owned by Mobigames to promote online and offline linked activities such as collaboration cafes and pop-up events.
Mobidays CIO Kim In-beom said, “Mobigames is focusing on discovering promising game companies and expanding content based on its publishing and marketing capabilities,” and “Through this agreement, we will plan events that can satisfy various user groups and expand the game business.”
SBXG CEO Lim Jeong-hyeon said, “eSports companies need to create synergy through collaboration with companies that own various content and game IPs,” and added, “Through this collaboration, we will provide a quality experience to fans and produce meaningful joint marketing results between SBXG and Mobigames.”
