Hairy Styles Wins '2025 L'Oréal Brandstorm'

L'Oréal Korea announced that the 'Hairy Styles' team (Hyun Chae-eun, Yoo Ha-young, Kim Seo-yeon) won the domestic finals of the '2025 L'Oréal Brandstorm' global idea contest held on April 30.

L'Oréal Brandstorm, which celebrates its 33rd anniversary this year, is a global idea contest held annually by the L'Oréal Group for young people aged 18 to 30 around the world. It is a major project of the L'Oréal Group that provides learning and employment opportunities to young talent.

L'Oréal Brandstorm provides an educational experience that fosters creative thinking and entrepreneurship by providing young people with problem-solving solutions to real-world business challenges. Its effectiveness has been recognized and it has been certified by the European Business Schools Association (EFMD) EOCCS (EFMD Online Course Certification System), and it is included in the curriculum of more than 100 universities and business schools worldwide. In addition, about 200 young people with high potential around the world are recruited as L'Oréal employees through Brandstorm every year.

This year's 2025 L'Oréal Brandstorm was held under the theme of 'Men's Beauty & Care Ideas of the Consumer Products Division of the L'Oréal Group.' Over 240,000 students from around the world with various backgrounds and majors participated and presented original ideas, and the participants proposed various ideas in the fields of ▲Tech ▲Products ▲And Beyond.

This year, the domestic semi-finals and finals were held offline by inviting participants to the L'Oréal Korea headquarters, and the finals were held with five teams selected after fierce competition. Before the finals, they were given the opportunity to receive mentoring on the beauty market from experts from L'Oréal Korea's Consumer Cosmetics Division.

The winning team, 'Hairy Styles', won the championship with an original and innovative idea on the topic of a hair grooming device that solves male pattern baldness with precise scalp styling. The domestic winning team will represent Korea in the international finals held at the Paris headquarters, and airfare, accommodation, and visas will be fully supported. As another special benefit, all winning teams will be given an internship opportunity at L'Oréal Korea. They will also receive continuous mentoring from L'Oréal Korea executives and staff, as well as participate in workshops and master classes to prepare for the international finals. The international winning team will be given a three-month internship opportunity at L'Oréal headquarters.

Hyun Chae-eun, a member of the 2025 L'Oréal Korea Brandstorm winning team, "Hairy Styles," said, "I was able to learn a lot through the Brandstorm seasonal semester held in February, basic lectures on job duties (IT, data, marketing, etc.), basic business practices (AI tools, how to use PowerPoint, etc.), and live sessions with the winning team from last year's Korea Brandstorm. I was able to achieve good results thanks to collaboration and effort with my teammates. I will reorganize once again and do my best to achieve good results in the international competition in June."
