Cloudflare Collaborates with Global Tech Companies

Cloudflare, the leading connectivity cloud company, today announced that global tech companies including Asana, Atlassian, Block, PayPal, Sentry, and Stripe are working with Cloudflare to build next-generation AI user experiences using Anthropic’s AI assistant, Claude.

These companies are enabling Cloudflare Workers to securely connect to Cloud and other AI assistants to use their services on behalf of their users, allowing users to have natural conversations with Cloud without having to directly access individual applications.

AI is already being used in a variety of tasks, such as writing emails, generating code, and analyzing data. However, users still have to switch between multiple applications and tabs to continue their work, which is cumbersome. In order to implement a more autonomous and efficient AI agent experience, AI must be able to directly connect with various business tools and execute them on behalf of the user. Cloudflare supports AI platforms to directly connect with various business tools used in enterprises through the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables such connection. This allows users to send emails, respond to inquiries about marketing campaigns, and process tasks such as issuing invoices without leaving the AI assistant. However, connecting external systems and data in a stable and secure manner is a technically very challenging task, especially in a global environment.

“Cloudflare is enabling the way AI connects to the world,” said Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder of Cloudflare. “We’re the core infrastructure that enables AI to interact with people through browsers, apps, or AI assistants like Cloud. As agent-based AI becomes the new interface, enterprises will rely on Cloudflare as the essential infrastructure to build and scale their AI strategies.”

Mahesh Murag, Product Manager at Antropic, said, “For AI applications to deliver high value, integration with various data and tools is essential, but building them reliably is not easy. Cloudflare is playing a key role in accelerating the adoption of MCP and expanding the remote server-based ecosystem by enabling anyone to easily and securely connect Cloud to their apps through MCP.”

◆ Simplifying enterprise deployment based on MCP standards

Cloudflare provides the industry’s only toolkit for quickly and easily building remote MCP servers based on the open source standard MCP developed by Anthropic. This frees development teams from complex infrastructure issues, allowing them to focus on designing powerful, user-centric AI experiences. Cloudflare simplifies complex authentication and authorization processes, and provides agent permission control and access log tracking capabilities to enable secure MCP server construction. In particular, remote MCP servers can be built and deployed in days, not weeks, based on the Cloudflare global network, providing fast and reliable AI experiences to users around the world.

Supporting AI experiences in everyday life

Currently, leading global companies are building and deploying remote MCP servers based on Cloudflare, and connecting their services with users through natural language conversations using AI agents such as Cloud.

  • “Asana has always focused on making it easier for teams to coordinate work. MCP allows AI tools like Cloud to connect directly to our Work Graph, making AI a true collaborative partner. We can now auto-create projects from meeting notes or pull in updates, and leverage Cloudflare’s infrastructure to quickly deploy and easily resolve authentication and scaling issues.” – Prashant Pandey, CTO, Asana
  • “AI shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all approach, it should be integrated into the actual workflows of your teams. MCP allows us to get closer to the diverse environments our customers work in. Building MCP on top of Cloudflare’s infrastructure allows us to quickly deliver advanced integrations to services like Jira and Confluence, while also ensuring our customers’ data is kept secure.” – Taroon Mandhana, Head of Product Engineering, Atlassian
  • “MCP is changing the paradigm of how software is developed. PayPal’s MCP Server, built on Cloudflare, enables developers to automate inventory management, payment processing, package tracking, refund processing and more by speaking natural language to AI agents. This is a turning point for a new era of commerce, and developers can start integrating with our MCP Server today.” – Prakhar Mehrotra, SVP of Artificial Intelligence at PayPal

◆ Build, secure, and protect directly from Cloudflare

Cloudflare also announced today that it is opening its MCP servers to the public, allowing users to build faster websites, build applications, and keep their networks and sites secure by talking to Claude. For example, developers can now talk to Claude to analyze logs and easily track and debug errors without having to read complex documentation or navigate observability tools.
