Naver Signs Business Agreement with Korea Federation of Small Businesses

Naver Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon) and the Korea Federation of Small Businesses (Chairman Song Chi-young) are strengthening cooperation to discover local small business owners and support their growth.

Naver announced on the 2nd that it signed a 'Mutual Cooperation Agreement for the Growth and Advancement of Small Business Owners' with the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise. The signing ceremony, held in the conference room of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise, was attended by Naver's External and ESG Policy Director Chae Seon-ju and Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise Chairman Song Chi-young.

Naver became the first domestic IT company to sign a business agreement with the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise in June 2023, and has supported the digital transformation and promotion of micro enterprises by utilizing various Naver services such as Smart Place and Shopping Live. Through this business agreement, Naver and the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise will strengthen cooperation for more practical and continuous support such as ▲discovering and nurturing local micro enterprises ▲introducing regions and promoting micro enterprises using short forms.

Specifically, we will discover promising small business owners in the region, support their expansion of sales channels by linking them with local events, and even work to help them advance overseas. In addition, as there is a lot of usability in discovering places to visit through short-form, we will also run promotions to introduce hidden local attractions and small business stores through Naver Clip. We also plan to expand the small business digital transformation support project that has been carried out so far to target representative organizations of each industry belonging to the Small Business Federation, such as the Korea Flower Association.

Chae Seon-ju, head of Naver’s external and ESG policy division, said, “Naver, which has grown together with small business owners, has incorporated its philosophy of coexistence into all of its services, while supporting small business owners to grow by utilizing Naver’s various technology platforms and solutions.” He added, “We will actively seek new business opportunities and growth plans with the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise to help small business owners grow to the next level.”

Song Chi-young, chairman of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise, said, “The business agreement with Naver will be another stepping stone toward the future,” and added, “By supporting small business discovery projects in the future, we will carry out practical, win-win cooperation for sustainable growth and advancement.”
