Wave Company 'Track Me' Achieves 2920% of Wadi's Funding Goal

Wearable healthcare company Wave Company announced that it has completed funding for its AI-based home training device 'TracMe' on the crowdfunding platform Wadiz, achieving 2,920% of its target amount. A total of 163 people participated in this funding, and the cumulative amount raised exceeded 14.6 million won.

TrackMe is a wearable exercise assistance device based on smartwear technology developed by Wave Company. It precisely measures the user's movements through a brace with a built-in elastic sensor, 'TracSil'. When the user wears clothing equipped with the TrackMe sensor, the sensor detects joint movement and angle in real time and automatically records the number of times the movement is made and posture. The collected data is transmitted to a dedicated app linked via Bluetooth, and the AI analyzes it to provide customized exercise feedback.

This device can recognize approximately 250 exercise movements, has a 110-hour battery life, and is water-resistant, so it can be used in various environments. TrackMe previously won the Innovation Award in the Digital Health category at CES 2024, acknowledging its technological prowess.

The tracksil sensor applied to TrackMe is characterized by both accuracy and convenience compared to existing camera-based or inertial sensor (IMU) methods. It is washable and easy to reuse, so it is suggested to be used in various application fields such as rehabilitation and exercise assistance for the elderly as well as general users.

Wave Company is also conducting research to expand the application of smartwear based on Tracksil technology to other fields such as physical therapy and industrial site monitoring. Industry experts predict that health technology based on wearable sensors will accelerate the popularization of healthcare and digital health.

“This funding is the result of consumers’ expectations and trust in smartwear-based home training solutions,” said Wave Company CEO Jona Yeon. “We plan to continue to improve our products based on the accumulated feedback and pursue expansion in the global market.”
