
Amazon Web Services Korea (AWS) announced that it will hold 'AWS Summit Seoul 2025' at COEX in Seoul on the 14th and 15th.
'AWS Summit Seoul', which celebrates its 11th anniversary this year, is the largest cloud technology conference in Korea with over 100,000 visitors since 2015. This year, it is expected to attract the largest number of visitors ever, over 22,000. It is a place where government ministries and leaders of various industries, IT experts, and general participants can learn and experience the latest cloud technology and generative AI innovation, and various industry-specific innovation cases and practice-oriented sessions are prepared.
This summit will focus on the latest innovations in cloud and generative AI, providing attendees with real insights through keynotes, sessions, and EXPO. In particular, there will be over 110 sessions, including over 70 customer sessions covering cloud and generative AI innovation, and over 50 partner companies. This year, the Expo booth centered on generative AI will allow participants to experience the latest technologies and services that can be experienced with generative AI in various aspects of daily life.
The keynote speech for the first day of the event, 'Industry Day', will be given by Kiho Ham, CEO of AWS Korea, who will discuss AWS's strategies and cases for supporting customer innovation in the era of generative AI. Following this, Yasser Alsaied, Vice President of AWS IoT, who visited Korea for the AWS Summit Seoul, will share business innovation and future prospects utilizing IoT and generative AI technologies.
In addition, Vice President and Head of Digital Business Division of Hyundai Card, Baekgyeonghwa, and CEO of Twelve Labs, Jaesung Lee, will introduce innovative cases achieved through AWS utilization and share actual results and business expansion plans. Following this, 10 tracks and approximately 60 detailed sessions will be held, and AWS customers and partners from each industry will share the latest AWS utilization cases and results.
The second day, 'Core Service Day', will feature AWS's technical leaders looking into next-generation cloud and AI solutions. Keynote speeches will be given by Werner Vogels, Vice President and CTO of Amazon, Deepak Singh, Vice President of Next-Generation Developer Experience at AWS, Jaesoon Kim, Platform Manager at T Map Mobility, and Seokchan Yoon, Senior Tech Evangelist at AWS Korea, who will provide insights into the evolution of cloud technology and business opportunities, and over 50 technical sessions will be held.
The expo will feature a variety of zones where participants can experience the latest technology trends and innovative generative AI-based solutions firsthand. At Sketch Lab, participants can instantly transform their drawings on paper into playable game characters using the generative AI service Amazon Nova, providing an immersive experience that includes generative images and videos, conversational interfaces, and IoT-connected elements. At Comic AI Studio, participants can create their own characters drawn in the style of Korea’s leading cartoonists and create stories through real-time conversations.
At the Industry Expo (AWS for Industries), Korean Air’s AI Crew and Golfzon’s AI Golf Coach combine Amazon SageMaker-based precision swing analysis and generative AI-based personalized posture correction with Supertone’s real-time voice technology to provide effective coaching. In addition, various AI solutions utilized in industrial settings are showcased, such as AI-based personalized fitness with digital healthcare startup iPixel, LG Household & Health Care’s AI skin diagnosis solution, and an AI presentation material review platform with Upstage. At the Generative AI Zone, you can experience AWS’s latest technologies, such as Amazon Nova and Amazon Q Developer, and at the Dev Lounge for developers, you can see practical application cases of cloud-based AI solutions.
In particular, by revealing the sound source of the 'AWS Summit AI Music Project' implemented with the Amazon SageMaker service in collaboration with AI music startup Poza Labs and AI voice technology company Supertone on the summit keynote stage, the potential for popularizing AI technology will be demonstrated.
