Pitter Petter signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Kennel Federation (KKF) to provide genetic testing services to its regular members.
Through this agreement, KKF regular members will be able to use reliable genetic testing services more conveniently, and it is expected to contribute to establishing a proper breeding culture and improving companion animal welfare.
Peter Peter will provide genetic testing services specialized in bloodline certification and health management, such as paternity testing (DNA profile) and breed-specific genetic disease risk testing, to KKF regular members. Through this, it will be possible to identify genetic risk factors of companion dogs in advance and support guardians to manage the health of their companion dogs in a systematic and scientific manner.
The Korea Kennel Federation has established a ‘DNA Test’ menu on its official website and is directly linked to Peter Peter’s genetic testing service. This will allow members to conveniently use the service from test application to result confirmation in one stop. In addition, by utilizing Peter Peter’s cutting-edge genetic testing technology, the reliability and transparency of the pedigree certification process will be strengthened, and active support will be provided for checking the health status of participating dogs at events such as dog shows.
Peterpeter is a pet tech company leading research and development based on biodata for pet health management, and in cooperation with animal hospitals, it provides dog and cat genetic testing services, ‘Dogma’ and ‘Catering’. In addition, it is preparing to introduce DNA ID testing for individual identification of companion dogs, and this technology can be utilized in various fields such as rapid return of abandoned and lost animals, accurate lineage confirmation, and systematic breeding management.
Peter Peter CEO Park Jun-ho said, “Through this agreement, we will provide an environment where guardians can efficiently manage the health and lineage of their dogs based on scientific and accurate data,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate with the Korea Kennel Federation to work towards the development of the domestic pet industry and the establishment of a healthy pet culture.”
