Verification of innovation and reliability through continuous selection by major global evaluation agencies such as the Financial Times of the UK

'Mathplat', an AI math problem bank solution operated by EdTech startup Freewillin (CEO Kwon Ki-seong), has been selected as one of the 'TIME World's Top EdTech Companies of 2025' announced by the American current affairs weekly TIME for two consecutive years. This year in particular, it achieved the feat of rising a whopping 75 places from last year, ranking 18th out of 350 companies worldwide.

Last year, Mathplat was the only domestic company to be selected for both TIME Magazine's 'World's Best EdTech Companies' and 'TIME World's Top EdTech Rising Stars of 2024', and this year, it has settled into the top ranks in recognition of its technological prowess and business scalability.

Starting in 2024, TIME magazine, in collaboration with global market research firm Statista, will evaluate 7,000 edtech companies around the world in terms of ▲technological innovation ▲financial soundness ▲industry influence ▲intellectual property value, and announce the top 350 companies.

Freewillin is building a service system that covers all school ages from elementary school to college through AI-based math courseware. Its flagship service, Mathplat, recorded a 33% year-on-year sales growth in 2024, and its cumulative number of users has surpassed 2.7 million, establishing it as the leading math AI learning solution in Korea.

In addition, remarkable results continued in the B2B sector centered on schools and universities. Customized math AI courseware for schools, ‘Schoolplat’, was introduced to 2,544 elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, growing more than five times compared to the previous year. AI courseware specialized in university education, ‘Pool Campus’, was also adopted by 36 universities in just 10 months after its launch, recording a high growth rate of 1,700%, rapidly spreading to the university market.
Based on these achievements, Freewillin has been receiving attention from major global evaluation agencies including Time magazine. In March of this year, it was selected as one of the 'Asia Pacific 500 High-Growth Companies' announced by the Financial Times (FT) of the UK, ranked second in Korea in the education and social services sector, and was the only domestic company to be named in the AI courseware sector for elementary, middle, high schools, and universities. It was also selected for HolonIQ's 'East Asia EdTech 150' for two consecutive years, proving both technological innovation and reliability.

“This award is a recognition of both Priwillin’s technological prowess and growth potential in the global education market,” said Kwon Ki-seong, CEO of Priwillin. “We will continue to grow as an ‘AI-based learning partner’ that focuses on reducing the learning gap through AI technology and providing more sophisticated and effective learning experiences to all learners.”
