Hue&Biome, Ministry of Science and ICT's 'Unicorn Project Phase 1' Final Selection

Hu&Biome (CEO Yong-ju Ahn), an AI-based skin microbiome analysis company, announced on the 30th that it was finally selected for the '2025 Gwangju Research and Development Special Zone Strategic Technology Research Results Commercialization (Unicorn Project Phase 1)' project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Hue&Biome plans to carry out this project together with Seomseom Bio and the Nanobio Research Center of the Jeonnam Bio Promotion Agency. Officials from participating companies and institutions signed an official agreement at the Gwangju Innobiz Center on the 29th and discussed technological cooperation and future commercialization plans.

Through this project, Hu&Biome plans to provide a precision diagnostic infrastructure that integrates and analyzes skin gene expression information and microbiome ecosystem data centered on its patented AI analysis algorithm. It also plans to build a core technology ecosystem necessary for the development of customized cosmetics through collaboration with cooperating organizations in charge of functional material development and product planning.

Hue&Biome has developed its own algorithm, ‘Skin Cube’, which can measure skin condition in real time and quantitatively based on skin microbiome big data and AI technology that analyzes it.

We are accelerating the construction of a next-generation customized beauty platform, expanding strategic partnerships with domestic and foreign companies to fully advance into the global market, and expanding our business beyond K-beauty to the health and wellness sector.
