
The Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Daehee Park, hereinafter referred to as the Daejeon Innovation Center) held the '2025 New Business Startup Officer School' selection ceremony at Daejeon Rycon Town on the 25th and began full-scale entrepreneur training business.
The New Business Startup Academy is managed by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Business Market Promotion Agency, and the Daejeon Innovation Center is in charge of regional operation, providing aspiring entrepreneurs with the opportunity to develop practical entrepreneurial capabilities.
Daejeon Innovation Center has been recruiting participants for prospective entrepreneurs since February, and finally selected 25 prospective entrepreneurs with creative ideas and high growth potential. This selection ceremony was held based on a thorough evaluation process, and was a place to announce the full-fledged journey of key talents who will contribute to the activation of the startup ecosystem in the Daejeon area.
The New Business Startup Academy is a program that comprehensively supports essential education, mentoring, and commercialization funds for prospective entrepreneurs in the early stages of starting a business. Selected participants will receive practical education such as the 'Startup Academy' and 'Pitching Competition' as well as dedicated mentoring from experts in each field. In particular, up to 40 million won in commercialization funds for the concretization of business items and market entry will be provided without self-funding.
Eligibility for support is given to prospective entrepreneurs who are not registered as business owners as of the business announcement date, and those selected through this program will also be able to enjoy preferential benefits for up to 500 million won in policy fund investment and loans and various follow-up government support projects.
Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “We will spare no effort in supporting all of the Daejeon Center’s technology, investment infrastructure, and networks so that innovative and creative ideas can be realized,” and added, “I hope that this project will serve as an important stepping stone for the participants to become entrepreneurial small business owners.”
Daejeon Innovation Center plans to continue to actively utilize regional startup infrastructure to expand the startup ecosystem and to carry out various programs to help early-stage startups successfully enter the market and achieve sustainable growth.
