Everspin announced on the 30th that it supplied its hacking defense solution, ‘Eversafe’, to SBI Holdings, a leading Japanese financial group.
This supply was made through 'SBI Everspin', a Japanese local corporation formed through a joint venture between Everspin and SBI Group, and EverSafe was also preemptively introduced to four SBI affiliates at the beginning of the year. EverSafe is a security solution that applies AI-based MTD (Moving Target Defense) technology, and is a product designed with the goal of fundamentally blocking hacking attacks.
EverSafe operates in a way that the security code changes continuously at regular intervals, which fundamentally blocks opportunities for exploitation even if an attacker analyzes the system. This type of dynamic security system is evaluated as a technology that can overcome the limitations of traditional static defense methods, and the U.S. Department of Defense has also paid attention to MTD technology as a next-generation cyber defense strategy. EverSpin has succeeded in commercializing the technology in a form that can be actually applied to web and app services.
An Everspin official explained, “Recently, hacking attempts targeting financial institutions, telecommunication companies, and public institutions have been increasing,” and “The need for an MTD-based security solution that can defend from the attacker’s perspective is growing.”
