Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Recruiting Companies to Participate in ‘Small Business Export Consulting Support Project’

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced that it will recruit small business owners to participate in the 'Small Business Export Consulting Support Project', which provides expert consulting to small business owners who are having difficulties entering overseas markets, starting on the 30th.

The 'Small Business Export Consulting Support Project' is a project that provides systematic and professional consulting to small business owners entering overseas markets with the export strategies they need and to strengthen their export capabilities.

In particular, this year, due to the Trump administration’s increased tariff measures, we will provide export consulting and vouchers to small business owners who are experiencing difficulties in exporting, in order to implement tasks derived from the consulting. This voucher is provided with funds contributed by KB Financial Group, taking into account the difficulties faced by exporting small business owners.

First, 'Export Consulting' matches 400 small and medium-sized export businesses with export expert consultants to provide consulting on various difficulties related to exporting, and you can receive consulting up to 10 times.

The 'Export Voucher' will provide additional support in the form of vouchers to 100 companies that have previously received export consulting and are experiencing difficulties due to US tariff measures, by selecting them separately and providing services necessary for responding to tariffs, such as securing an alternative export market supply chain and responding to local tariff disputes.

A KB Financial Group official said, “For small business owners, tariff barriers are a matter of survival as they cannot continue their business,” adding, “We hope that this support project will provide practical help and hope to small business owners, and we plan to continue to provide support in the future so that small business owners can grow into competitive companies.”

Lee Dae-geon, the director of the Small Business Policy Bureau, emphasized, “More than 56% (53,000 companies) of our country’s export companies (95,000 companies) are small businesses, and they are fostering the export competitiveness of small businesses in consumer goods such as cosmetics and food and beverages.” He added, “We will continue to expand related policies, including export consulting support projects, so that small businesses can grow into companies through exports.”

The export consulting business is available to small business owners with export performance, and applications can be submitted from the 30th on the ‘Small Business 24 Nuri Home’ website .
