DeepX, Hyundai Robotics Lab and World Economic Forum MINDS Award

DeepX (CEO Nok-won Kim) announced on the 26th that it was selected as the first cohort winner of the '2025 MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions)' program announced by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

WEF's MINDS program is a global initiative that goes beyond simple technological achievements to evaluate the practical impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on industry and society, and selects companies that have achieved practical innovation.

This year's award recipients include major global technology companies such as Foxconn, CATL, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Fujitsu, and SAP, along with DeepX.

DeepX has drawn attention for its achievements in collaborating with Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab to demonstrate an edge AI-based robot vision solution that implements high AI computational performance with power consumption of less than 5W compared to high-performance GPUs. The solution was evaluated as a case that proved the actual industrial application and technological transition of AI technology by simultaneously satisfying power efficiency, cost reduction, and field applicability.

WEF expects the award-winning companies to present innovative solutions to a variety of global issues, including sustainable supply chains, future infrastructure, digital health, and AI governance, over the next two years.

DeepX CEO Kim Nok-won said, “Through this award, the effectiveness and social contribution potential of DeepX technology have been recognized internationally,” and added, “We will continue to provide real value to industry and society with sustainable AI technology.”

“We will contribute to improving human life in physical spaces by developing intelligent robotics solutions utilizing on-device AI technology together with DeepX,” said Hyun Dong-jin, managing director of Hyundai Motor Group’s Robotics Lab.
