Cospo, 'Business Trip in Shanghai' concludes

Korea Startup Forum (hereinafter referred to as KOSPO) announced on the 28th that the 'Business Trip in Shanghai' program, planned to strengthen ties with the global startup ecosystem, has concluded.

This program is a preliminary event for the global expansion of 'COMEUP 2025', and was created with the goal of selecting domestic startups hoping to enter the Chinese market and supporting activities such as exploring the local startup ecosystem, networking between companies, and IR pitching to investors.

The event was held at the EIV China-Korea Business Center in Shanghai, and was attended by seven domestic startups that have shown their will to enter the Chinese market in various industries including entertainment, healthcare, software, and electric vehicles.

On the first day, a visit was made to the retail hub ‘Parkson New Core’ and the complex cultural space ‘Joy City’ to understand Chinese consumer trends, and on the second day, a tour of the EIV facility was held and a business agreement (MOU) was signed between COSPO and E-Land China to strengthen cooperation in the global startup ecosystem. Afterwards, a seminar on overseas fund and IP management was held with the participation of E-Land’s finance and legal departments.

In the IR pitching session, seven startups including ▲Mobidays ▲Battery Fly ▲Beyond Medicine ▲Smim ▲Seezion ▲Innerboos ▲Fortel My Health participated and introduced their services and business models to local officials. They also shared their experiences on Chinese market entry strategies and risk response measures from senior entrepreneurs who are active locally.

In addition, participants visited the exhibition hall of Chinese electric vehicle company Nio and the urban regeneration complex cultural space Columbia Circle to directly experience local industrial and cultural trends and explore local partnership possibilities through informal exchange sessions.

This program was jointly planned by EIV, a Korea-China startup hub established by E-Land China, and COSPO, and was evaluated to have laid a practical foundation for market entry by combining COSPO’s startup support capabilities with EIV’s local network.

Chairman Han Sang-woo of COSPO said, “This Shanghai business trip is a meaningful exchange program that goes beyond a simple market tour and provides practical business expansion opportunities,” adding, “We will develop ComeUp 2025 into an event that strengthens global connections and actively support startups’ overseas expansion.”
