Fulfillment specialist Wikip announced that it has signed a cold chain logistics agency contract with home furnishing retailer IKEA Korea (hereinafter referred to as IKEA) .
Through this contract, Wikip plans to store IKEA's fresh food in its own cold storage center, manage inventory, support stable delivery to stores nationwide, and provide a fast and accurate integrated logistics management service by utilizing an AI order prediction system.
IKEA is introducing fresh food in its in-store Swedish restaurant, Swedish Bistro, Swedish Food Market, and Swedish Café, and Wikip is applying real-time temperature monitoring and AI-based inventory optimization solutions, and utilizing cold chain infrastructure to support the storage, shipment, and delivery of fresh food in optimal conditions. In addition, by strictly complying with IKEA’s first-in, first-out principle and shipment based on expiration date, it plans to reduce the waste rate of fresh food and maximize inventory turnover.
With this, Wekeep plans to further strengthen its competitiveness in fresh, refrigerated, and frozen logistics services. In addition, by combining Naver Delivery (N Delivery) and AI+ certified FBW solutions, Wekeep T’s cold chain transportation network, and Wekeep M’s eco-friendly packaging materials, it is expanding its presence in the fresh food logistics market as a 4PL comprehensive logistics company.
“Through our collaboration with IKEA, we have been able to significantly enhance the competitiveness of fresh food logistics,” said Jang Bo-young, CEO of Wikip. “We will present a new standard for fresh food logistics through logistics innovations such as AI-based order prediction, supplier management, and temperature monitoring.”
WikiPlace currently has over 3,400 cumulative customers and is continuously expanding its fulfillment infrastructure beyond existing room temperature logistics to cold storage logistics.
