Rootfinders 'Easy Plus' selected for 7th Google Play Store Program

EasyPlus, an AI-based multimedia content service for the visually impaired, has been selected for the 7th Google Play window program.

The 'Changgu Program' is a startup fostering program jointly hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute for Startups & Entrepreneurship Development, and in cooperation with the global company Google Play, which selects 100 promising domestic startups and provides intensive support for their entry into the global market and technological advancement. In this 7th term, innovative services that incorporate AI technology in various fields such as education, finance, and commerce attracted attention.

EasyPlus by Rootfinders is a multimedia platform that reconstructs various content such as news and games based on AI to suit the consumption environment of the visually impaired and provides them with a focus on voice. It was selected for this program in recognition of its expertise and service completeness in the field of digital accessibility based on its technological prowess that dramatically improves information accessibility for the visually impaired by removing unnecessary images and advertisements and extracting key information.

With this selection, EasyPlus developer Routefinders will be able to receive various support including ▲AI technology advancement ▲global expansion strategy consulting ▲PoC-based verification program ▲collaboration with global companies ▲commercialization funding of up to 200 million won.

Kim Jong-guk, CEO of Rootfinders, said, “EasyPlus is more than just a simple application; it is a public technology that guarantees access to media content information for the digitally disadvantaged, including the visually impaired.” He added, “With this selection as a window program, we will establish ourselves as a national platform leading the global accessibility market.”

Meanwhile, Rootfinders was recently selected for the verification and commercialization sector of the '2025 GovTech Startup Support Project', and plans to accelerate technology verification and public adoption expansion through cooperation with the government. This selection is a result of recognition of EasyPlus's public usability and technological scalability, and is expected to spur the expansion of AI-based digital accessibility solutions in the public sector.
