Seum Law Firm Holds M&A and Global Investment Seminar

The seminar 'M&A and Global Investment: Legal Risk Diagnosis and Response Strategy' co-hosted by Law Firm Seum and the Venture Investment Academic Committee of the Korean In-House Counsel Association was held in Seoul on April 23.

This seminar focused on examining legal risks that may arise in the M&A and global investment environments and sharing response strategies based on actual cases. In particular, it dealt with various legal issues frequently encountered in domestic and international transaction practices.

The event began with an opening speech by Jong-il Park, head of the legal team at BonAngels Venture Partners (attorney), followed by Seum attorneys Ho-seok Jeong, Seung-gyu Byun, Jin-gi Kim, and senior foreign attorney Ji-hoon Choi, who participated as speakers and gave presentations focusing on actual transaction and dispute cases.

The presentation went beyond simple legal interpretation and specifically addressed issues that may arise during actual corporate M&A and investment processes and response measures, and was structured to increase the possibility of practical application for the audience.

Attorney Jeong Ho-seok of Seum Law Firm said, “This seminar was organized with the aim of providing practical help by focusing on legal issues encountered in actual work rather than theory,” and “We plan to continue to provide opportunities to share meaningful legal knowledge with practitioners in the future.”

The Venture Investment Academic Committee of the Korean In-House Counsel Association said, “Legal risks related to M&A and global investment are becoming increasingly diverse,” and added, “We will continue to expand academic and practical seminars so that members and industry practitioners can enhance their response capabilities.”
