Glass Dome, the first in Korea to obtain European Catena-X product carbon footprint certification

– Second global certification, proving the reliability of carbon data management
– Expected to strengthen carbon response capabilities of export manufacturing companies

Carbon emissions data management company Glassdom announced on the 24th that it has received official certification for its Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculation solution from Germany's supply chain data platform Catena-X.

CatenaX is an international industry data initiative led by global automakers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Ford, which is establishing global standards for consistent sharing of carbon data across the supply chain.

GlassDome is the first domestic company and the second globally to receive official certification from CatenaX, proving that GlassDome’s solution has a reliable carbon accounting system that can be used in the international supply chain.

GlassDome met CatenaX’s stringent technical requirements through its ISO 14067 and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)-based calculation engine. In particular, it was recognized for its high level of consistency and scalability based on its ability to utilize real-time process data, its interoperability with existing industrial systems such as ERP, and its flexible software architecture based on SaaS.

Jin-ki Ham, CEO of Glass Dome Korea, said, “This achievement is receiving attention as an excellent example of a private technology-based carbon calculation system in terms of not only the industrial responsiveness of the product carbon footprint solution, but also policy consistency between European and Korean countries.” He added, “We will continue to expand our support so that domestic export manufacturing companies can gain real competitiveness in responding to carbon regulations and primary contractors.”
