Hikvision, a provider of AIoT products and solutions, announced on the 23rd that it had obtained certification for the international cybersecurity standards 'ETSI EN 303 645' and 'EN 18031' from global certification agency Bureau Veritas.
ETSI EN 303 645 is a security standard for IoT (Internet of Things) devices established by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). It focuses on strengthening the security of personal IoT devices and has high international authority in the field. EN 18031 is a wireless equipment security standard covering cybersecurity, privacy, and financial asset protection, and was developed by the CEN-CENELEC JTC 13 technical committee.
With this certification, Hikvision has proven that its IoT products meet international standards in terms of security and privacy protection. Based on this, the company plans to contribute to creating a more trustworthy IoT environment.
Hikvision is working with Secura, a Dutch security certification organization, to pursue not only this ETSI and EN certification, but also the IEC 62443 certification, an international standard for industrial control system security. The two companies are working together toward common goals such as standardizing security requirements for IoT products, improving product security development processes, and strengthening data protection for wireless equipment.
“Hikvision is committed to strengthening its security operation system in compliance with industrial security standards, and will continue to work on improving its technological capabilities to create a safe digital ecosystem,” said Tai Hikvision Korea President.
